"After two years of training at another school, we decided to give Robin Horneff's a try. My daughter wound up having to go back to the beginner class to relearn proper technique which she wasn't taught at the previous school. I feel like the last two years were a waste of our time and money."

Why Choose Us?
3 Track Curriculum

Most dance schools teach without a lesson plan in an arbitrary fashion.  Here at Robin Horneff's, we have a fully articulated and integrated curriculum coupled with professional lesson planning that is designed to provide correct dance technique, taught in an enjoyable, fun and positive way.  In essence, Robin Horneff's provides the dance experience from a recreational level in tap, jazz, and hip-hop to the highest level of both classical and lyrical ballet.

Recreational Track

We recognize that younger aged children want to involve themselves in many different activities so they and their parents can discover where their skills and recreational interest lies.  These students take 1-3 classes per week.  Two and half to five year olds generally take our combination class, “A Star Is Born”.  While 5 to 18 year olds may choose to take multiple classes in ballet, ballet lyrical, tap & jazz, and hip-hop.  Most of these students participate in other activities such as gymnastics, soccer, cheerleading, girl scouts, and band.
At Robin Horneff's, you can be sure that at the very least, your child will love their experience here and if they have a natural talent for dance it will be discovered and nurtured by our programs and staff. Get the best training from the start!

Intermediate Track

Most of our intermediate students come from our recreational track, as they discover their love for the dance experience.  Typically they enjoy two to four classes a week in ballet, ballet lyrical, tap & jazz, and hip-hop.  Many aspire to become part of the company, also known as PAC Kids and aim to audition during our summer camp.

The Dance Company

For the child who decides to focus on learning dance and wants to be given opportunities to showcase their talents at the nation’s elite competitions in preparation for a professional career as well as to build an impressive resume that will give them the extra edge to get into the college of their choice. Our company memebers regularly perform in very distinguished venues such as the Princess Grace Awards, attended by the Prince Albert of Monaco. These distinctions and achievements provide for an impressive resume for a college application. Based on the strength of their academics and dance skills, students who have attended our dance school have been accepted by some of the most prestigeous universities such as Julliard, Duke, NYU and UPENN among others.

At the end of each year your child’s inevitable progress is evaluated and suggestions are made as to which classes they qualify for the following year. At RHPAC we give each child in each learning track the same attention and care. Our 3 Track Approach provides the format for a child who shows an early acumen for dance to be discovered and have their talent fully realized.

Quality Dance Instruction

Poor training can take a lifetime to correct. Bad habits need to be broken before they become too engrained. In the Dance world there is no governing body that certifies whether an instructor is certified to teach. ANYONE can open up a dance school and teach your kids. In her dance career, Robin Horneff has choreographed for the legendary Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire, danced on Broadway in the musical "Sugar," and toured nationally and internationally as a well-known dancer as well as taught for over 28 years. Her considerable background in dance serves her well in choosing the most competent instructors to teach your children. At RHPAC we choose instructors who have demonstrated excellence not only as a teacher, but also in their own dance career. Many have degrees in both Education and Dance.

Class Size

When the class size gets too large, it is simply impossible for each child to get enough personal
attention. Here at Robin Horneff's we believe in keeping an optimal student-2-teacher ratio so that each child receives the personal care that they need in order to have fun and progress. Typically, the smallest sized class will be our Star Is Born program with 9-12 students.
